Fighting the Bihar Floods

Bihar had been drenched in incessant rain since Friday night and floods are wrecking havoc!

With the loss of 29 lives and massive damage to infrastructure in many districts, IMD has retained its 'red colour' warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall in the state this week. State capital Patna, which is the worst hit, might face more misery if the water level in Punpun river rises further. Rotaract Club of BIT Mesra stands strong with the people of Bihar facing this predicament and in this hour of need, requests you to contribute so that we can somewhat relieve their ache.

Donation Drive

On 3rd January 2020, We carried out a donation drive in nearby village of Rudiya. For this project, Rotaractors collected clothes, eatables, foot wears, etc. from students and donated it among the needy villagers.

Orphanage Visit

Rotaract club of BIT Mesra visited Cheshire home orphanage to spend their weekend with the children of the orphanage. Rotaracters collected various kinds of stuff such as stationery items, clothes, shoes, edibles, etc. from entire college and to be distributed amongst the children of the orphanage. The day started with more than 30 members of Rotaract club leaving from. After reaching the orphanage initially, distribution of collected stuff was done and then various fun, games and activities were organized. Even the creative side of children was evoked by conducting drawing competition. The day of a little girl was made when she was given a surprise by the Rotaracters by celebrating her birthday. Before the students left, the nurses expressed their gratitude as the day of children were brightened by the visit of Rotaract Club and even the members said that they felt extremely lucky and happy having come to Cheshire Home. Thus, the notion of DEEDS NOT WORDS was again established by the Rotaract Club, BIT Mesra.
